Chasing last light and dodging sparks!
Jodi, the second I met you and you greeted me with a hug as though we have known each other for years, I just knew right there, that you are a very kind human being and your bridesmaids reminded me of what friendship really is. They all had such awesome, but so different personalities and it was such fun hanging out with your girls for a few hours before we headed off to the Acropolis venue.
Sometimes I only meet the groom on the wedding day, at the alter, but I actually only officially met Adriaan at the end of the confetti line! I felt so bad as he was clearly a bit emotional when he saw how beautiful Jodi was when she walked down, there I was, capturing every tear and boy did Adriaan fight them! I have to apologise Adriaan! (:
185 guests for a crazy group shot, a few family photos and off we went to Wittefontein and chasing the last little bit of sun light that was fighting its way through the clouds. And as my luck would have it (the worlds luckiest person alive), there she came out, guns blazing through the pine forests and we got some special photographs between the pine forests, the huge ferns and to top it all off, an orange smoke bomb!
Jodi & Adriaan there is no doubt that you are both loved by your family and friends and those speeches is a true testament to that love. Adriaan’s sister had me wiping all kinds of tears and Jodi’s dad made the venue’s roof lift off with Groot this and Klein that but then brought us back to tears. So special!
Thank you Jodi and Adriaan for being you, natural, down to earth, caring, open to all my crazy ideas and smiling to the last photo. I hope you look back at these photos in timea to come and they bring you both joy and a reminder of YOUR LOVE!
I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you, not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me – Roy Croft
